Our architectural studio in Chicago is seeking a dedicated and motivated Junior Architect to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for emerging architects to work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to the design and development of architectural projects in the vibrant city of Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Design Support: Assist senior architects in the development of design concepts, drawing preparation, and model creation.
- Drafting and Rendering: Create architectural drawings, renderings, and 3D models using software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering programs.
- Research: Stay updated on the latest architectural trends, materials, and construction methods to enhance project quality.
- Site Visits: Participate in site visits and inspections to gain hands-on experience and assist in project coordination.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, from concept to completion.
- Client Interaction: Support senior architects in communicating design ideas and updates to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in architectural software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong design sensibility and a passion for architecture.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A portfolio showcasing your academic and, if applicable, professional work in architecture.
- Previous internships or relevant experience are a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
